These days, Tom Petty is a sonic touchstone for everyone from the Gaslight Anthem (who covered "Refugee") to the War on Drugs, and this year, he and the Heartbreakers will be hitting the road in North America.
The trip runs from mid-May to late June, and it includes strings of intimate shows in New York and Los Angeles, plus a stop at Bonnaroo. The band will also be hitting up a few other cities along the way, with a single Canadian stop in London, ON, on June 18. See the schedule below.
Tickets for the Ontario show go on sale March 8.
A press release notes that this jaunt will take place during a break in the sessions for the Petty and the Heartbreakers' new album, which doesn't yet have a title and is due out in 2014 via Reprise Records.
