Tom Morello has announced plans for a new memoir, complete with photos spanning his early years to his now-legendary career. Titled Whatever It Takes, the book will arrive on October 13 via Genesis Publications.

The Rage Against the Machine co-founder's life will be documented through the new release, from his RATM era, through to Audioslave and Prophets of Rage, to his solo recording career, political activism and friendship with the late Chris Cornell.

The book will also include handwritten notes, setlists, items from Morello's personal archive and more.

"This is a book about a lifelong mission," Morello said in a press release. "A mission that more often can be felt rather than articulated. There are clues to the nature of the mission in the guitar riffs, the crazy solos, the lyrics, and in the shared sweat and solidarity of friends and comrades onstage and off."

He added: "I dug deep into my garage and photo albums to find pictures that I hadn't seen in many years. Some of the photos show history in the making. Some are historically rocking. And some are historically embarrassing."

Less than 2,000 limited edition copies of the hardcover photobook and 150 copies of the deluxe edition are now available for pre-order.
