Tom DeLonge Wants Fugazi's Ian MacKaye to Guest on a New Boxcar Racer Album

Former Blink-182 frontman and avid alien hunter Tom DeLonge might not be jamming with his former collaborators these days, but he has plans for another big project. Last year, Travis Barker said he'd be open to making another Boxcar Racer LP with DeLonge. Now, DeLonge is suggesting that it actually might happen.

To inject a dose of DIY into their angsty mall-core, it looks like DeLonge might reach out to Dischord founder and former Fugazi frontman Ian MacKaye.

On Twitter, DeLonge asked fans who they'd want to see guest on a new Boxcar Racer album. When someone suggested MacKaye, DeLonge replied, "I wish.. u never know. He's a really nice dude."

The fact that DeLonge and MacKaye have even crossed paths is already a hilarious and surreal thing to think about, so we're in full support of getting the super serious punk legend on a new album with two-thirds of Blink-182.
