Tokyo Police Club Unveil Cross-Canada Tour

Tokyo Police Club Unveil Cross-Canada Tour
Beloved Canadian indie rockers Tokyo Police Club recently released their second LP, Champ, and are currently in the midst of a lengthy U.S. tour. In a recent interview with Exclaim!, front-man Dave Monks said that we could except Canadian dates to follow shortly. True to his word, Monks and his bandmates have now announced their Canadian tour plans for the summer and fall.

This summer, the group will be playing a handful of festivals dates, as well as a already-announced show in Toronto opening for the Flaming Lips and Spoon. They will begin their cross-Canada tour in September, heading from Ontario all the way to Victoria. For their dates in the west, Tokyo Police Club will be joined by Juno-approved indie rockers Arkells.

Since the majority of the shows aren't for a few months yet, that means you've still got time to enter the Champ Championship, the band's open invitation to the fans to challenge them to a contest of any kind. According to a promotional YouTube clip (embedded at the bottom of the page), "It's a contest. Challenge us to something. Anything. Ping pong. Baking. Mario. Nerf guns. Hockey. Unicycling. Catching grapes in your mouth. (We're really good at that. Seriously.) You name it. When we come to your town on tour we'll make it happen. This summer, it's on." Enter at the band's website.
