Tokyo Police Club Return with Canadian Dates

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Nov 15, 2013

After recently letting us in on their album plans, Tokyo Police Club have now announced a quick run of Canadian dates to kick off the new year.

The group tweeted about the trip earlier today (November 15), confirming that they'll be playing four shows this January, running from Barrie, ON to St. John's, NL. Previous tourmates Hollerado are onboard for the show in Barrie.

You'll find the rest of the tour info down below.

As previously reported, Tokyo Police Club recently recorded their yet-to-be-titled LP with producer Doug Boehm (Girls, Islands). Keyboardist Graham Wright had told Exclaim! that the group concentrated on making their new songs "more direct," and that they had crafted some fun rock riffs throughout the sessions.

"We just wanted to write choruses," he said. "Which isn't to say the verses and pre-choruses aren't good.... But there was a lot of concentrating on, 'What's the way that people are going to like this song? What's the way we can give people what we're trying to give with this song without obscuring it or without pulling our punches?'"

As previously reported, the new Tokyo Police Club album is expected to arrive early next year.
