Having brought live music back to Edmonton and welcomed 30,000 attendees with their socially-distanced inaugural event last summer, Trixstar Productions' Together Again Outdoor Concert Series wants to get everyone together again — well, again.
This August 19 to 21, the festival will host three consecutive days of live music at the Edmonton Exhibition Lands Racetrack Infield, featuring performances from Sam Roberts Band, Barenaked Ladies, Kim Mitchell, Burton Cummings, Chilliwack, 54-40, Paul Brandt, Johnny Reid, Meghan Patrick, Lee Aaron, King of Foxes and more.
In 2021, Trixstar worked with Alberta Health to pivot from its usual festival production formatting to cultivate an experience in accordance with the COVID-19 restrictions in place at the time, prioritizing attendee safety with VIP reserved tables and a cashless mobile ordering system.
"The idea behind Together Again is simple: it is about supporting one another," Trixtsar founder Mike Anderson said in a statement. "In the face of lockdowns and restrictions, we recognized people needed something to hope for; an evening of fun and entertainment to forget about the stress of the world. We saw this event as a chance to bring people together safely while supporting our community with job creation and economic stimulation."
Co-headlining country star Paul Brandt added: "Alberta is an incredibly resilient province, and I am beyond proud to call this place my home. To headline a festival series that gives back so much to our residents is an honour, and I can't wait to see everyone out and enjoying themselves — this format is a really unique way for people to take in their favourite musicians and performers and I can't wait to be a part of it."
Presale tickets are available Thursday (March 10) at 10 a.m. MT with the code EXCLAIM here prior to officially going on sale on Friday (March 11), with prices ranging from $65 per person for general admission to $149 for front row VIP reserved tables. For every ticket sold, $2 will once again be donated to Boyle Street Community Services, after last year's event generated over $150,000 in donations in addition to creating hundreds of jobs.
The Saturday (August 20) of Together Again also marks the 11th anniversary of Edmonton Rock Fest, with proceeds supporting the Rock and Roll Society of Edmonton's Centre for Arts & Music (CAM) programming.
