Tobias Jesso Jr.

"Crocodile Tears" (live on 'Kimmel)

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Aug 25, 2015

Polaris Music Prize-nominated piano pop troubadour Tobias Jesso Jr. continued the promotion behind his debut LP Goon by appearing as the musical guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night (August 24).

Repping his West Coast Canadian roots with an oversized flannel shirt, the mop-topped singer-songwriter delivered a refreshing live rendition of album cut "Crocodile Tears." The track got some new life breathed in to it courtesy of Los Angeles-based Balkan jazz, swing and punk fusion act Duk, who served as the singer's backing band.

Watch the lively brass, bass and percussion-infused version of the tune in the player below. Goon is available now on Arts & Crafts, and you can see Jesso Jr.'s upcoming fall tour dates here.
