During his Sunday afternoon (June 4) set, TOBi sounded remarkably polished for an artist billed so early in the day. There were no kinks to be worked out, no discernible flubs. Everything sounded freshly pressed in the mid-day sun.

Backed by his guitarist and a backing track played via laptop, TOBi's set was a mix of live spontaneity and calculated precision. The self-described "Leonardo in the making" sounds already fully formed, and drew a sizable crowd of lawn loungers to the Fort York stage. Delivering sharp, memorable lines like "What's a King with no Coretta?" during "LiBRA," TOBi was set on making an impression, and his smooth, well-executed R&B did just that.
