Titus Andronicus started 2011 off on a sour note, announcing the departure of bassist Ian Graetzer. The Civil War-loving indie rockers aren't letting that get them down, however, as they've now booked a lengthy spring tour that will take them all around North America and includes a handful of dates with Bright Eyes.
Following a March tour with the Pogues, Titus Andronicus will embark on a jaunt of their own. They will be busy playing shows from February until the end of April, with three Canadian dates: Montreal on March 31, Toronto on April 1 and Vancouver on April 8. The Vancouver show is one of five gigs with Bright Eyes.
This tour will presumably feature a slightly different Titus Andronicus lineup, as they have now had a month to find a replacement for Graetzer. Hopefully, this doesn't alter the quality of the band's future material, since last year's The Monitor earned a spot on our list of the top pop & rock albums of 2010.
