Following last year's Shed, Pennsylvania punk act Title Fight have wasted no time in delivering the follow-up. Floral Green is the group's second LP, and it drops on September 18 through SideOneDummy. Prior to the official release date, though, you can stream the whole thing on Exclaim.ca.
Fans of Shed will doubtless be won over by this album, too, since Floral Green isn't too much of a stylistic departure. As the press release notes, it's "a continuation record, in both the if-it-ain't-broken sense and the onward-and-upward sense. The songs continue to drive, the singing continues to be heartfelt, almost frenzied, the hooks continue to soar, and the hardcore-punk influences continue to be central."
That said, the record exhibits some growth as well, in the form of "textured, emotional art-rock." We've already gotten a taste of the album's multi-faceted, ultra-distorted sound in the form of the video for "Head in the Ceiling Fan"; now hear the whole thing below.
