Toronto-based epic metallers Titan are back with a double LP, titled Burn, which is set for release on June 29 via React with Protest in Europe and Hypaethral Records in North America. However, you can check out Burn in advance, as the full effort can be streamed right here at Exclaim.ca.
Recorded from October 2011 to February 2012 by Sean Pearson and Josh Korody, the ten-track Burn follows Titan's crushing EPs Scraps of a Feast and Colossus, and progresses upon the band's classic doom-infused, hardcore/sludge sound. The fiery, heavy "Myopic" notably features guest vocals by Chris Colohan (Cursed, Burning Love), while "Telepaths" includes some demonical effects and features both Tyler Semrick-Palmateer (Mare, the End) and Bryan W. Bray (Gates).
Titan will be performing a Toronto show at the Soybomb on June 23 to kick off on their upcoming European tour. The band's release show for Burn is scheduled for August 3 at Sneaky Dee's in Toronto, featuring Vilipend and Rising Crust. Check out Titan's website for their complete list of tour dates.
