Tindersticks Prep New Album For September North American Release

As Constellation increasingly becomes a place not just for Montrealers, the label has announced its latest signee: England’s Tindersticks. On September 16, the one-time home of Godspeed You! Black Emperor will release Tindersticks’ seventh studio album, The Hungry Saw, in North America. And unlike the version that hit Europe earlier this year, the domestic release will come sporting a bunch of extra features.

The Hungry Saw CD will come packaged with some revised artwork, now printed on a cardstock gatefold sleeve, as well as a lyric booklet made with "fine artstock recycled paper.” As for the LP, it will be pressed on hefty 180-gram virgin vinyl and include "multiple inserts.” (We’re guessing this means a bunch of fancy photos or art prints.)

In other Tindersticks news, the band have also recently made a short film titled Those Devil Hands with long-term collaborator Martin Wallace. As we previously reported, the documentary coincided with the European release of The Hungry Saw and delves into the inner working of the Nottingham noir-soul outfit primarily though interviews with front-man Stuart Staples. The film can be seen here.

As for The Hungry Saw tracklisting on Constellation, here it is:

1. "Introduction”
2. "Yesterdays Tomorrows”
3. "The Flicker of a Little Girl”
4. "Come Feel the Sun”
5. "E-Type”
6. "The Other Side of the World”
7. "The Organist Entertains”
8. "The Hungry Saw”
9. "Mother Dear”
10. "Boobar Come Back to Me”
11. "All the Love”
12. "The Turns We Took”
