Last week we made mention of ultra lo-fi combo Times New Viking being one of the many bands performing for Albertan audiences at this year's massive Sled Island fest, but West Coast Canadians are going to get a taste of the band's sugary fuzz rock as well.
The group have revealed their spring/summer tour plans, which have them hitting up Vancouver's Media Club on June 22 before making their way to Calgary for two Sled Island dates. Included on the trek is also a whole pile of U.S. dates. Check out the full tour schedule below.
As previously reported, the band will be unleashing their upcoming full-length Dancer Equired, their first for Merge Records, on April 26. You can download an MP3 of the gentle yet somewhat ramshackle number "Ever Falling in Love" here.
You can also check out the winter-themed trailer for the album, complete with a couple more lo-fi janglers, below. A press release for the album explains that "though it abandons the pissy histrionics of the past, the record retains the loud, brash, mammoth guitars but also magnifies the bright, beautiful traits the band has nurtured since the beginning." We agree wholeheartedly.
