Tim Robbins and the Rogues Gallery Band Announce Debut Album

Oscar-winning actor and nominated director Tim Robbins clearly has a keen grasp on the film industry, as evidenced by his large and impressive resume. Now, the performer is highlighting his musical talents with the release of his debut album.

Performing under the name Tim Robbins and the Rogues Gallery Band, the group also include keyboardist Roger Eno, multi-instrumentalist Kate St. John and, best of all, musical saw player David Coulter, alongside vocal contributions from Joan As Policewoman.

Still, the project stemmed from Robbins's creative vision. A life-long musician, the 52-year-old spent a long time conceptualizing the album rather than rush into it.

"I have too much respect for music to put out something that wasn't coming from a genuine place," he said in a press release, adding that he wanted to "understand what my voice was and what kind of stories I wanted to tell. I think I'm ready to tell those stories now."

Tim Robbins and the Rogues Gallery will be released on July 5 via Fontana North in Canada and 429 Records elsewhere. The group will also embark on a North American tour that includes many Canadian stops. All dates are available below.
