Tim Lambesis Issuing New Austrian Death Machine LP

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Feb 6, 2014

While As I Lay Dying singer Tim Lambesis is due in court today (February 6) to figure out whether or not he'll stand trial over the alleged murder plot against his wife, the metal musician has confirmed that, no matter what, his Austrian Death Machine offshoot will deliver their third album this spring.

Last year, it was revealed in Meggan Lambesis's civil suit against her husband that Metal Blade Records would not issue any material involving Lambesis, so Austrian Death Machine's Triple Brutal has been bounced to Artery Recordings for an April 1 release. Prior to linking up with Artery, the group crowdsourced over $78,000 to record the LP.

The record follows the jokey 2009 sophomore set Double Brutal, and all signs point to this one continuing the project's blending of metal and Arnold Schwarzenegger references. This time around, Lambesis was joined in the studio by Bleeding Through guitarist Dave Nassie, Impending Doom skinsman Brandon Trahan, former Allegaeon guitarist Ryan Glisan, God Forbid's Doc Coyle, the Faceless six-stringer Wes Hauch, Carnifex's Scott Lewis and former Sworn Enemy guitarist Lorenzo Antonucci.

Though a tracklisting has yet to appear, you can check out the T2-inspired "I'll Be Back" in a newly launched lyric video. Up above, you'll find the bullet-riddled, Arnie-lampooning artwork.

Austrian Death Machine have also announced that royalties derived from record sales will go towards the World Vision Charity.

As for the court case, it's alleged that Lambesis spoke to an undercover cop in San Diego about arranging a hit on his wife, though the metal vocalist has denied the charge.

UPDATE: Lambesis appeared in court today only to have another readiness hearing scheduled for February 15.
