Southern rapper T.I. successfully turned the focus away from his legal trouble and back onto his music career with last year's pretty-good Trouble Man: Heavy Is the Head album. His redemption story will continue with another album on a new label.

As a press release confirms, T.I. has signed with Columbia Records and will bring his Grand Hustle stable of artists along with him. The rapper will release a new album in early 2014. The record will be executive produced by Pharrell and will also include production from frequent collaborator DJ Toomp.

"We're very excited to welcome T.I. to the Columbia family. With his massive U.S. success and career history, we are going to make him an even bigger superstar on a global level," CEO Rob Stringer said in a statement.

T.I. also had some loving words for both the label and Pharrell. "I'm honoured to be partners with such a successful, passionate and creative conglomerate like Columbia Records, who respects and supports the vision of their artists and partners," T.I. said. "Nothing but love, respect & appreciation for Doug Morris, Rob Stringer and the entire staff. Also, a special thank you to my big bruh, Sk8board P, for always believing in me and also executive producing my upcoming project."

There's so much sincere love in the air, it really brings a tear to your eye. Stay tuned for more information on T.I.'s upcoming project as it becomes available.
