T.I. Reportedly Fails Drug Test, Could Face More Prison Time

Earlier this month, southern rap king T.I. and his wife Tameka "Tiny" Cottle were arrested for alleged drug possession when his Maybach was pulled over and police found marijuana, ecstasy and codeine, the main ingredient in the illegal beverage known as 'sizzurp,' in the vehicle. The news came less than six months since he was released from a weapons-related prison sentence.

Now, AllHipHop is reporting that T.I. failed a drug test with his probation officer, testing positive for traces of marijuana and codeine. Currently released on $10,000 bail, T.I. is awaiting a prison sentence with Judge Pannell.

Pannell also handled T.I.'s weapon case, when he was arrested for attempting to purchase machine guns in 2007. The judge reduced T.I.'s sentence from ten years in prison to just one thanks to T.I.'s influence on teens. Now, the drug-related charges could include three separate violations of his probation, so T.I. could be facing some serious prison time.

The up side of this for T.I. fans is that more prison time may force him to finish his new album and get it out there sooner. T.I. has been working on the album, reportedly called King Uncaged, since March of this year.
