After giving us his Sun Gift Earth cassette earlier this month, legendary indie rock experimenter Thurston Moore has announced plans for a new solo album.
As previously hinted at, the album is called The Best Day and sees Moore working alongside former Sonic Youth drummer Steve Shelley, My Bloody Valentine bassist Debbie Googe and London-based musician James Sedwards.
According to a press release, "the album radiates with both his signature thrashing electric guitars as well as blissful 12-string acoustic ballads." Matador Records will issue The Best Day on October 21. The album can be pre-ordered here.
