Published Feb 08, 2010The past few months in the life of recently revived '90s Canadian indie rock heroes Thrush Hermit have been particularly active. Not only have they confirmed their reunion and a string of tour dates, but singer Joel Plaskett has made another announcement that will make fans of loose guitars and wobbly vocal chords shriek with delight.
According to a recent posting on Plaskett's blog, Thrush Hermit are currently compiling a seven-disc box set of their work. We say "compiling" because it's reported to house everything the band ever recorded, along with unreleased stuff and a DVD with documentary footage, a 24-page booklet with liner notes written by the band's Rob Benvie and a few gems not yet revealed.
They hope to have it ready for the March tour, so while you're out there getting wasted to "From the Back of the Film," you can wander over to the merch table and grab this sucker. It will be handled by Plaskett's New Scotland Records.
Thrush Hermit Box Set (with Plaskett's descriptions):
