Thrice Announce 10th Anniversary Vinyl Reissue of 'The Illusion of Safety'

Two days from now (April 4), California post-hardcore vets Thrice will embark on a rather lengthy farewell tour, but the outfit's music will live on beyond the stage, as evidenced with the newly announce rerelease of their 2002 sophomore set The Illusion of Safety.

A press release confirms that Hopeless Records will celebrate the collection's tenth anniversary by delivering a vinyl repress on June 19. Interestingly enough, that's the day after Thrice wraps their road trip at Santa Ana, CA's Observatory.

On top of the standard black vinyl edition, Hopeless is also offering some limited coloured wax. Fans can pre-order the reissue here and pick whether they would prefer their platter on clear, white or translucent red vinyl. The first 500 copies will include inserts that were signed by the band, and all editions will include a digital download card.

Beyond its tunes, The Illusion of Safety is notable for being the last album the band issued on indie imprint Hopeless before signing with Island Records.
