Thoughts on 2008: Valery Gore

Published Dec 29, 2008

To tide us over while we indulge in the holiday spirit gorging on stuffing and egg nog, we asked a bunch of musicians to tell us their thoughts on 2008. Some of them replied with lists of their favourite music, some told us their fondest memories and some came up with much more creative ways to commemorate this past year.

Valery Gore was more than willing to give us her makeshift list of favourites. Apparently she gets "really excited and nerdy about stuff like this!!!" Here it is:

1. Sarah Vaughan The Divine One 1969

2. Why? Alopecia 2008

What's up?

I'm excited for 2009. I plan on touring Canada and Europe, release Avalanche To Wandering Bear in Europe and Japan, get a (hopefully animated) video in production for "Scared" and write enough songs to harbour me through next winter so that I can release another record in two years! I'm aiming to release an EP of remixes for Avalanche, as well as include alternate arrangements for two songs off the first record: "Delorla" and "Dancing."

Happy New Year!
