This Toronto Musician Bought Anne Murray's Old Audi and She Gave Him an Autographed Photo

The 1999 Audi A6 has fittingly been named "the Snowbird"

As far as a first car goes, it isn't a stretch to say that an Audi would rank highly on anyone's list of desired wheels. However, a Toronto musician found that one previously owned by Canadian icon Anne Murray was too good to pass up.

Henry Shi, vocalist/guitarist in Toronto four-piece Mazola, revealed on Facebook that he recently purchased a 1999 Audi A6 Quattro from a coworker that was previously owned by Murray. Writing to the singer, Shi told Murray that he and his friends "affectionately dubbed it the Snowbird, obviously," in reference to Murray's 1970 hit.

Shi then asked Murray for an autographed photo to keep in the vehicle "as a token of the wonderful music you created throughout the years." As you can see in the band's post below, Murray was happy to oblige. "Henry," she wrote, "Hope You enjoy the car as much as I did!"

While we're unsure whether or not the A6 is able to fit the gear of all four members, we're wishing Shi's Snowbird many more miles logged on the road.

Mazola delivered their Praise the Maize LP in 2017. You can hear the seven-track release here.
