With a penchant for attracting controversy, Florida folk punks This Bike Is A Pipe Bomb have caused more commotion due to their moniker. On February 16, a bike bearing one of the band's stickers was found outside a terminal at a Memphis International Airport. Naturally, airport police took the sticker literally and had the terminal evacuated. They also detained the bike's owner for questioning and a full search.

Ryan Modee, the band's lead singer, opened up to Fox13 News, saying, "It's just really sad... It seems like it's costing a lot of money and making [the American people] more scared." He also explained the innocent origin for the band's name, saying, "It really didn't mean anything at the time... It was just a name that sounded pretty memorable."

Similar situations occurred twice in 2006, as universities in Ohio and Philadelphia were evacuated at the sight of bikes with the same sticker.

This Bike Is A Pipe Bomb will be bringing their share of controversy and folk punk to this year's SXSW Festival.
