Third Man Records Unveils Heat-Reactive Elvira Single

Jack White's Third Man Records is known for its quirky vinyl curios, and here's another one that we can add to our list of must-have releases from the label: a Halloween-themed 7-inch from horror hostess Elvira that's packaged a heat-reactive sleeve.

The single features the songs "2 Big Pumpkins" and "13 Nights of Halloween," both of which were penned by B-52s frontman Fred Schneider. According to an announcement from Third Man, the songs "brim with fun double-entendres, campy cackling, devilishly danceable beats and so much more."

They come on what the label calls "pugnacious purple vinyl." The sleeve features a dark silhouette of Elvira, which becomes more detailed when the ink is heated up (such as by rubbing it with your finger). See how the sleeve works in the video embedded below.

The vinyl is available to pre-order from Third Man's online store. Digital copies are also available through iTunes.

This isn't the first time Elvira and Jack White's paths have crossed. He previously produced the theme for Elvira's Movie Macabre television show (a song that was performed by the Black Belles).
