Third Man Launches Chess Records Reissue Series
Having already brought catalogue selections from Tamla Records and Sun Records to new generations of listeners, Third Man Records has now announced plans to reissue material from famed Chicago label Chess Records.

The series, which will see release in partnership with Universal Music Group, will first treat three singles from Chicago blues icon Muddy Waters to vinyl. The man's first hit for the label, "Rollin Stone" b/w "Walkin' Blues," will arrive alongside "She's All Right" b/w "Sad, Sad Day" and "Mannish Boy" b/w "Young Fashioned Ways" on 7-inch wax.

The three singles were originally released on 78rpm records in 1950, 1953 and 1955, respectively. Third Man notes it is the only label to have released the songs in a 7-inch single format.

All three singles are available now through the label here. The label also revealed that a reissue of Waters' 1968 LP Electric Mud will also see release as part of the series this year.
