Them Crooked Vultures Celebrate Record Store Day with New Ten-Inch

BY Greg PrattPublished Mar 24, 2010

It looks like rocker supergroup Them Crooked Vultures have caught the Record Store Day bug and are joining the fun in a few different ways. Along with the band releasing an exclusive T-shirt for the occasion and guitarist/vocalist Josh Homme being the official ambassador of Record Store Day 2010, Them Crooked Vultures will drop a special limited-edition record for the April 17 festivities.

The record will be a ten-inch picture disc single featuring album cut "Mind Eraser, No Chaser," an unreleased live ditty called "Highway One" and an interview ("Vulture Speak"). Homme's other band, Queens of the Stone Age, will be releasing the Feel Good Hit of the Summer ten-inch vinyl picture disc for Record Store Day as well.

These two releases add to a mounting pile of Record Store Day exclusives, which you can view here.

In related news, Vultures bassist/keyboardist John Paul Jones's "other band," Led Zeppelin, recently turned down an offer to headline the Download music fest in the UK, according to Music Radar. He will be there, however, playing with the Vultures (alongside AC/DC, Rage Against the Machine, Aerosmith, and others). Also, shortly after Record Store Day, Them Crooked Vultures are coming to Canada to play some gigs.
