SXSW Is Throwing a One-Day Music Festival on the Lawn of the White House
After attending this year's SXSW festival as keynote speakers, United States president and first lady Barack and Michelle Obama are set to hold a festival of their own this fall.

Titled South By South Lawn, the single-day event will take place on October 3, bringing together music, film, interactive booths and panel discussions. The White House website reveals that "musical performances will include well-known and emerging artists who are using their music to inspire audiences."

Festival organizers have provided an online for people to nominate who should attend the festival, which you can find here. Nominations will be open until September 10 at 5 p.m. EDT.

South By South Lawn is being held in conjunction with SXSW, C3 Presents, the American Film Institute (AFI), and the President's Committee on Arts and Humanities (PCAH).
