Following some teasing late last year, the Weeknd has shed more light on his upcoming comic book collaboration with Marvel.
The series is called The Weeknd Presents: Starboy!, and the first issue will arrive on June 13. As you could likely tell from that title, the series is based on the Weeknd's 2016 album Starboy.
The comic book is being written by Abel "the Weeknd" Tesfaye himself, along with La Mar Taylor and Christos Gage. The art comes via Eric Nguyen and Guru-eFX.
A description from Marvel reads as follows:
The city of Alphatron is in the grip of a crime wave, as the terrifying Jack "The Chef" Smiley has unified all criminal organizations with his ruthlessness and strategic genius. Not content with brutally murdering his victims, Smiley also feasts upon their flesh. The citizens live in fear and the police have been directly targeted. The city is in dire need of a hero. It will not get one, but it will get what it deserves: Starboy!
In a statement, Tesfaye said, "Marvel is the pinnacle of success in their field and I've been a lifelong fan of their work. To be able to partner with them is a dream come true."

The Weeknd just popped up on Trouble's new album Edgewood, which you can listen to in full over here.
The Weeknd's albums Starboy, Beauty Behind the Madness and House of Balloons are available on vinyl through Umusic.
