Tragically Hip Give Fans Another Shot at Tour Tickets via Lottery

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jul 21, 2016

Tragically Hip fans left disappointed by the group's immediately sold-out final tour and those outrageous secondary market ticket prices are getting another crack at catching the Canadian icons this summer. Additional tickets are being sold for each stop of the band's Man Machine Poem trek and will be sold through a lottery system.

The band confirmed the extra seats themselves over Facebook, explaining that they'll be running one ticket lottery for each show of the tour. Fifty winners will be selected for each concert, with each of those entrants being able to grab themselves a pair of tickets. You'll have to head to the venue box office to pick up the stubs.

The deadline to enter the lottery is 11 a.m. local time the day of each show. The winners will be alerted by 1 p.m. You can find out more info over here.

As previously reported, the Tragically Hip's final tour starts up this Friday at Victoria's Save On Foods Memorial Centre. In case you can't make it to any of the concerts, it's since been revealed that CBC will be showing a live broadcast of the final date, a hometown show at Kingston, ON's Rogers K-Rock Centre on August 20. Select cities will also be holding viewing parties.
