The trek will hit Toronto this summer

The The hinted at their return by announcing European live dates late last year, and now the Matt Johnson-helmed post-punk outfit have mapped out a full comeback tour.

Appropriately dubbed the "Comeback Special" tour, the group will play across Europe, before crossing over to North American in the fall.

The North American leg of the tour starts in Boston on September 14 and will make a single Canadian stop in Toronto on September 19. The full run of dates wraps up on September 27 in San Francisco.

See the band's full itinerary below.

The The last released a studio album in 2000 with NakedSelf, though they did unveil the extensive Radio Cineola: Trilogy last year. Johnson also released his Hyena soundtrack back in 2015.
