Published Jan 25, 2016British rockers the Temperance Movement are ready to reveal their brand new studio album, White Bear, to the world. And while the album doesn't arrive until the end of this week, Exclaim! is giving you an exclusive chance to hear the entire thing ahead of time.
Recorded in London, Northamptonshire and Monmouth, the band feel their eagerly anticipated sophomore record is a step forward both sonically and artistically.
"Playing so many shows together over the last three years allowed us to develop a really clear idea of where we wanted to go with our next record," explained guitarist Paul Sayer in a press release. "When it came to making this album we had a bit more time and space to let our creativity go, and I'm incredibly proud of what we achieved."
The band's creativity has manifested itself in the form of 10 unbridled rock tracks, loaded up with roaring blues-rooted riffs and gravelly, expressive vocals courtesy of vocalist Phil Campbell. An emphasis in the band's songwriting on big choruses with soaring backing vocals, at the forefront on "Get Yourself Free" and "A Pleasant Peace I Feel," is sure to stir the spirit of any rocker.
Give White Bear an advanced listen in the player below before it arrives January 29 through Fantasy/Concord Music Group.
