The Superlative "Scavenger" (video)

The Superlative 'Scavenger' (video)
Ottawa party-rock troupe the Superlative dropped their latest album In Love & Debt last year, and they're ready to unveil the accompanying visuals for LP cut "Scavenger."

The song addresses common hardships — "things like drug addictions, relationships ending, loss of employment, death of a loved one and extreme debt" — and seeks to provide hope for those who are struggling to pull themselves out of the depression that can ensue as a result of life's obstacles.

"We hope this video and song touches people," guitarist Kiel Burwell said in a statement. "That it reminds them even through all of the bad times, good will come and moving on is the best thing one can do when they hit rock bottom. There's always someone who cares, there's always a purpose to keep going, no matter how big or how small."

As for the video, it juxtaposes scenes of characters in the midst of the aforementioned struggles with live performance footage of the band — and even an unexpected appearance from Taylor Swift. Get your first glimpse at it right now in the player below.
