The Shins Tease More New Music

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Apr 13, 2016

While it's a bit unclear exactly what the Shins are up to, it's looking more and more as if the indie pop band are gearing up to release some new music. Today (April 13), they hopped back onto Instagram to tease a song.

Like an earlier music post from February, this latest video arrives with hashtag "#shinstagram." Also captioned "King Puffin," the video presents an ever morphing collection of clouds score by a dreamily strummed piece. The snippet features a group sing along of the line "he was just a little man."

Other recent Instagram teases scored by what may be some new Shins music include a video of a guy in a monkey mask and a dance party between a pair of dolls.

Official plans for a new Shins album have yet to be announced, but it's looking as if something is shaping up, for sure.

The James Mercer-led project's last full-length release was 2012's Port of Morrow, though the Shins did supply Zach Braff with some music for his 2014 film Wish I Was Here.
