The Rolling Stones announced plans for a short run of North American tour dates only last month, but as you can probably guess, those plans have now changed in the wake of the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.

The band were scheduled to play a night at Vancouver's BC Place on May 12 for their only Canadian stop on the 15-date "No Filter" trek, but the group have since made the announcement that they are postponing the entire tour until gatherings of such large numbers are no longer a risk to public health.

The Rolling Stones offered the following collective statement about the postponement:

We're hugely disappointed to have to postpone the tour. We are sorry to all the fans who were looking forward to it as much as we were, but the health and safety of everyone has to take priority. We will all get through this together — and we'll see you very soon.

So far, there have been no rescheduled dates, but concert promoters AEG Presents and Concerts West have advised fans to hold on to their tickets and stay tuned for the rescheduled tour.
