The Return of Pimp Shrimp (a.k.a. King Krule) "FEEL SAFE 88 (just say no)"

The Return of Pimp Shrimp (a.k.a. King Krule) "FEEL SAFE 88 (just say no)"
UK songwriter Archy Marshall has unveiled plenty of pseudonyms over the years, from King Krule to Zoo Kid to Edgar the Beatmaker. Following up last year's A New Place to Drown LP under his own name, he's now offered a cough syrup glossy new tune under the guise of the Return of Pimp Shrimp.

"FEEL SAFE 88 (just say no)" begins with lo-fi smack of sticks and a psyche-warping organ lick, which seems to weeble and wobble out of tune. The song goes dark disco the rest of the time, with Marshall offering up smooth, UK-accented vocal harmonies that reinforce the power we have within ourselves ("don't be ashamed").

You can check out the Return of Pimp Shrimp's new song down below. As for the name change, Marshall explained of the switch on the official King Krule Facebook page: "another age another name for the stomps."
