Remember about a year ago when Ben Gibbard and co. broke our collective millennial hearts by announcing a co-headlining Postal Service and Death Cab for Cutie tour celebrating the 20th anniversaries of Give Up and Transatlanticism that skipped Canada entirely? Finally, there is justice: they're extending the 2023 tour into next year with a slate of new dates — including stops in Toronto and Vancouver.
The new leg kicks off on April 4 in Atlanta, ahead of us waving from the great heights of the nosebleeds at Toronto's Scotiabank Arena on May 4. With support from Slow Pulp, the bands will also play both seminal albums in their entirety at Vancouver's Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre on May 14. Currently, the tour is set to wrap in London, UK, on a yet-to-be-announced date.
Tickets go on sale to the general public next Friday (December 8), with presales beginning Tuesday (December 5) at 10 a.m. local. See the full itinerary below.
