The PepTides

"Don't Believe in Love" (video)

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Jul 5, 2016

Ottawa indie outfit the PepTides seem to have changed their tune a bit since dropping the video for "Love Will Find You" last year. They're back with a brand new clip, but this time it bears a warning — "Don't Believe in Love."

The new single takes a slightly more cynical look at romance, questioning the meaning of that feeling called love. In the band's own words: "Is this this the real deal, or just a chemical rush? Are we hopeless romantics, or just procreating pawns in a biological ballet?"

Despite the scepticism in the song's message, the video is still a vibrant, fun-filled affair. Neon colours abound as the band switch back and forth between performing and blowing rather powerful kisses.

The track will appear on the group's upcoming self-titled EP, which is expected out in September. For now, though, check out the video premiere of "Don't Believe in Love" down below, where you can also find the PepTides' upcoming dates.
