Ricky Gervais is resurrecting his David Brent character — the insufferable middle manager from The Office — for an upcoming film called Life on the Road. Brent's big screen debut will be accompanied by an album of the same name from his band Foregone Conclusion, and before their long-awaited debut record drops, a music video for "Slough" has arrived.
The clip takes viewers on a Brent-guided tour of the depressing British suburb of Slough. As Brent drives around, he passes the each of the monotonous landmarks mentioned in the song. The on-location footage gets paired with some shots of a formally attired Brent and his band performing live to an embarrassingly small crowd. That doesn't stop him from hamming it up to the nth degree, though.
