The New 'Jumanji' Is Named After a Guns N' Roses Song and Doesn't Even Feature a Board Game

Welcome to the jungle / We've got fun and, er, videogames

Since Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson won't rest until he's remade every possible property under the sun, we're set to revisit the world of Jumanji with a new sequel. Though he promised to honour Robin Williams with the new movie, fans of the original have reason to worry that the new film will be a stinker.

The first warning sign? The film is named after a Guns N' Roses song. Yes, it's officially called Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.

Yesterday (March 27), snippets of the film were revealed at CinemaCon, along with some major news. According to The Wrap, the movie won't even feature the Jumanji board game that was central to the first.

Instead, the new film will centre on a Jumanji videogame. When transported into the game, the child stars will meet characters played by the Rock, alongside Kevin Hart and Jack Black. Nick Jonas is in the movie too.

While a videogame edition of Jumanji could potentially be a fun premise, there's certainly cause for concern about this updated sequel.
