The soundtrack for Greta Gerwig's Barbie movie has officially been announced, and it features a bunch of hypey names. Ice Spice — who was recently announced as the feature on a new version of Taylor Swift's "Karma" — is on there, as is HAIM, Tame Impala, Charli XCX, Lizzo, Nicki Minaj, PinkPantheress and a whole lot more.
The soundtrack was executive produced by Mark Ronson, and it features a couple cast members among all the pop stars — Dua Lipa (okay, she's both) plays a blue-haired mermaid Barbie and contributes a song called "Dance the Night," while Ryan Gosling also features on the soundtrack, though it's a little less clear in what capacity. Is this the potential return of Dead Man's Bones?
The soundtrack arrives on July 21, the same day as the film's release. As previously announced, Gerwig's movie will feature Issa Rae, Simu Liu, Michael Cera, Kate McKinnon, and a whack-load more Barbies and Kens among its supporting cast. Helen Mirren is the film's narrator.
