The National's Matt Berninger and Låpsley Deliver Bathroom Duet for 'Bob's Burgers'

The relationship between animated sitcom Bob's Burgers and indie outfit the National is a beautiful one, even if it takes you straight to the toilet. As part of the show's Bob's Buskers series of online videos, Matt Berninger and UK singer Låpsley have recreated the show's recent from-the-throne singalong, "Bad Stuff Happens in the Bathroom."

The song had originally appeared in sixth season finale "Glued, Where's My Bob?," where mustachioed griller Bob accidentally gets glued to the restaurant's customer bathroom in a prank gone wrong. An animated, bearded Berninger is subbed in for the Buskers run-through, appearing de-pantsed and floating through a porcelain wonder world before realizing he's stuck.

Concerned about the predicament, Låpsley, in the guise of Bob's bunny-eared daughter Louise, adds a verse about how this was all a case of mistaken butt-dentity. "If Gene had pooped like every day, this would have all just blown away," she coos soulfully over the electro-pop arrangement, revealing who should really be stuck on the can.

You'll find the fully revamped toilet tune below.

As previously reported, the National are no strangers to the Bob's Burgers world. In earlier seasons, they contributed a Thanksgiving jingle, a pro-gravy anthem and the glum, deceptively titled "Christmas Magic."
