It seems like every week we get news of an album from a member of the National, and this week it's Bryce Dessner's turn. The guitarist has written a new album with the Australian String Quartet, and you can hear two songs from it now.

Impermanence/Disintegration was composed for the Sydney Dance Company, who will perform the piece at Sydney's Roslyn Packer Theatre Walsh Bay before taking it to the Adelaide Festival in March.

The album includes eight new compositions, as well as a string arrangement of ANOHNI's "Another World," which closes out the release.

Impermanence/Disintegration arrives on April 2 via 37d03d. Until then, you can hear the record's "Emergency" and "Impermanence" below.
