The Mandates Return with 'Dead in the Face,' Debut New Single

BY Josiah HughesPublished Aug 17, 2018

Calgary power-pop quartet the Mandates have delivered plenty of raucous riffs and singalong anthems over the years, but the well is far from dry. Following 2015's In the Back of Your Heart, the timeless quartet have announced plans for their third LP.

The release is called Dead in the Face and offers another 10 tracks of fist-pumping proto punk and riffs that will have you air guitaring no matter where you are.

The LP was recorded by Craig Fahner (Feel Alright) and mixed by Pat Kearns (the Exploding Hearts). The album will arrive on August 31 through Teenage Rampage, This Is Pop and Dirty Flair

Ahead of its arrival, you can hear Dead in the Face opener "Baby, I'm an Outsider" below — a perfect Friday jam. You will also find the band's upcoming Japan tour dates.
