The Lumineers Return with 'Cleopatra' LP

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Feb 5, 2016

Folk-pop chart-toppers the Lumineers had the world swaying along with their 2012 self-titled debut, and now the Denver-based three-piece have revealed plans for a sophomore effort. Cleopatra is set to arrive in Canada on April 8 through Dine Alone/Dualtone.

The new album was recorded at Clubhouse in rural New York alongside producer Simone Felice and hears the band reflecting on the success they've found over the last few years.

"The record is our greatest hits reflecting what's happened to us over the last three years," said frontman Wesley Schultz in a press release. "We tried to come up with the best possible version of every song, so we recorded a lot of different iterations, changing the tempos, dressing 'em up, stripping 'em down. It took a lot of work to make them sound so easy."

The result is an 11-song collection (15 if you opt for the deluxe version) that will bring the band around the world once again. Past the tracklisting down below, you'll find the band's upcoming tour dates. At this time, they include one Canadian stop at Vancouver's Orpheum Theatre on June 1.

And even if the Lumineers don't currently have plans to come through your town, you can still give the brand new single "Ophelia" a listen in the player at the bottom of the page.
