The Killers' Concert in Quebec Was So Badly Organized the Venue Had to Apologize

The show at Laval's Place Bell was plagued by power outages and extreme lineups in the freezing cold, and fans are pissed

Currently on tour behind Wonderful Wonderful LP, the Killers' tour itinerary brought them to Laval, QC, this past weekend for a performance at the city's Place Bell arena. However, many attendees at the Saturday night (January 6) show claimed the evening was soured by disorganization and multiple technical issues.

Taking to social media, concertgoers complained about extended wait times to enter the venue, leaving them stuck outdoors in frigid temperatures. To make matters worse, the band's set was interrupted by a number of power outages, including one during the opening song.

The Killers poked fun at the technical difficulties on Instagram the day after, writing that "the crowd was electric. The venue was not." Place Bell released a statement Sunday (January 7), writing that "were faced with different operational issues and we are aware of your discontent. We would like to apologize that the actions took were not to our fans' expectations."

The 10,000-seat Place Bell opened last year. Find reaction to the evening's happenings below.
