The Killers have announced plans for their sixth studio album. Few details have emerged so far, but we do know the record will be called Imploding the Mirage, and that it's due in spring of next year via UMG.

The band have also plotted a short European tour kicking off in late May. Those dates can be viewed below. So far no North American tour dates have been announced.

See the band's announcement below.

Back in April, frontman Brandon Flowers told NME that recording was already well underway.

"We've been in Utah doing it," Flowers told the publication. "That's where I fell in love with music for the first time; so it's interesting to be there again and hear some of that music with the geography matching the sensation. Some of that stuff is starting to resurface and a lot of that had to do with synthesizer music. It's always been part of our DNA but it's definitely creeping up."

Stay tuned for more details as they unfold.

Earlier this year, the Killers released a new single called "Land of the Free," which you can listen to down below.

Imploding the Mirage will mark the band's follow-up to 2017's Wonderful Wonderful.
