The New 'Guardians of the Galaxy' Soundtrack Is Getting Released in Some Sort of Doritos Bag Music Player
Now that vinyl and cassettes have made a full-on comeback, many have wondered what physical media will be the next to gain popularity. Will it be the 8-track? Will audiophiles finally give CDs another chance? Wrong on both fronts, friends. The next format for music fans across the country is in fact the humble Doritos bag.

In what might be the most ludicrous cross-promotion we've ever seen, the cheesy chip merchants are teaming up with Marvel to release the star-studded new Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 soundtrack in the form of a Doritos bag.

As you can see above, the bag features a playable "cassette player" interface that one can plug their headphones into. From there, snack fans will be treated to the entire soundtrack. The bag is also rechargeable, so you can keep a greasy empty chip bag lying around your house indefinitely.

In a statement spoken by a real human person — specifically Marvel Entertainment VP of global partnership Mindy Hamilton — we learned that the whole collaboration is built on sweet, sweet brand synergy. "Marvel and Doritos have a very similar set of core fans, so we wanted to maximize availability of this soundtrack by making it as accessible in a unique way," she said.

The Doritos bag music player will be available on Amazon on April 28, but we're going to wait until we can get lossless FLAC files in a Pringles can. If you're looking for the soundtrack in a more conventional format, you can order it here.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theatres on May 5.
