The Courtneys recently inked a deal with legendary New Zealand label Flying Nun to deliver their aptly titled sophomore LP The Courtneys II next month. The Vancouver trio have already teased the album with "Silver Velvet," and today (January 12) another cut called "Tour" has arrived. Fittingly, it comes with the news that the band will be hitting the road.
The North American jaunt begins in their hometown on March 14 and will make Canadian stops in Calgary, Saskatoon, Winnipeg and Toronto, before circling back to Vancouver for another show on April 11. They'll wrap up the full string of gigs in Los Angeles on April 15.
As for the new tune, it brings together pounding drums, plucky bass, fuzzed-out guitar and sugary sweet vocals, providing another promising preview of what to expect from the follow-up to the band's 2013 self-titled debut.
