The Band are continuing on with their celebratory reissue series, this time treating their third album, 1970's Stage Fright, to a massive 50th anniversary reissue.
The extensive reissue set will arrive on February 12 via Capitol/UMe/Universal Music Canada in a variety of formats.
Stage Fright will be newly remixed, remastered and expanded, and the fanciest option available will be a multi-format Super Deluxe 2CD/Blu-ray/1LP/7-inch vinyl box set with a photo booklet. There's also a digital edition, 2-CD version, a 180-gram black vinyl edition and finally a limited-edition 180-gram colour vinyl pressing.
The project was overseen by principal songwriter Robbie Robertson, and it boasts a new stereo mix by Bob Clearmountain from the original multitrack masters. Also, for the very first time, Stage Fright will be presented in the originally planned song order.
Among the multitude of previously unreleased material is a live set taped at London's Royal Albert Hall in June 1971, as well as a never-before-released jam session between Robbie Robertson, Rick Danko and Richard Manuel captured while Stage Fright was still being mixed called Calgary Hotel Recordings, 1970.
There's also alternate versions of "Strawberry Wine" and "Sleeping," among others goodies.
