Terra Lightfoot

"Veronica" (mini-documentary) / "Lily's Fair"

BY Alex HudsonPublished Mar 26, 2015

Terra Lightfoot bears no relation to Gordon Lightfoot, but her family's history with music is interesting nonetheless, and she has shed some light on this lineage with the mini-doc "Veronica."

"Veronica" is the name of Lightfoot's battered Gibson SG guitar, and in the four-and-a-half-minute clip, Lightfoot explains how she came to purchase the axe from a dude in a hardcore band, despite being $50 short of the asking price. She also discusses her aunt's rebellious musical past and beautiful guitar collection. All of this is intercut with black and white footage of Lightfoot and her band playing the crunchy roots-rock tune "Lily's Fair."

The mini-doc can be seen below, where the audio of "Lily's Fair" is also embedded.

Lightfoot's album Every Time My Mind Runs Wild will be out on April 14 through Sonic Unyon.
